We are nearing the end of our 2006, multi state, 11,000 mile expedition. One of the places we have been looking forward to visiting is Upstate New York. Earlier this year, we had an amazing encounter in Clarence New York, and we know that there is definitely some activity in this state. Steve Kulls, the Squatch Detective, had asked Tom Biscardi and his Searching for Bigfoot team to come by if we made it back to this part of the country. Well, here we are. We met Steve and his partner Bill Brann at a local restaurant and made plans to head on out to a spot that Steve had been monitoring for the past six years. Steve told us he had seen many signs of activity in the area over those six years, but was never able to document it fully. He invited us out with him to see what we could find. The area was just as Steve described it, a very wild and heavily wooded wilderness. There is over six million acres of unspoiled wooded wilderness up here, near the Canadian boarder. We came out after sun set, knowing that the focus of our expedition is a nocturnal creature, and headed into the woods. We split into three groups. Bill Brann stayed up by the vehicles to maintain the base camp. Steve went out with TJ and Lee, our trackers, and Tom Biscardi and I (JavaBob ) made up the third team. It wasn’t long before Tom and I began smelling a strong and foul odor. A smell similar too, but not the same as the smell of a skunk. It seemed to be moving all around us and not emanating from just one area. As we traveled further into the woods, we came upon some marshy area near a small stream. Because of the mud and marsh, we were forced to head uphill slightly. There next to a tree, Tom noticed the first of several foot prints. We did our best to photograph the prints in the dark and mark the area where they were found so that we could get back to them later. In the mean time TJ, Lee, and Steve were moving off ahead of us and to our left. They had crossed the stream area near were we found the prints. They were now about 200 yards farther into the darkened woods when TJ and Lee found a set of prints. Steve was ecstatic about this. He had been searching this area for over 6 years and had never found anything that he could capture as physical evidence of what he always knew was in the area. Of course, the Searching for Bigfoot team was just as happy and told Steve to go ahead and cast this print to keep as his own. After all, this was a team effort and we would not have found it without Steve’s invitation. It just goes to show what can be done when some of the separate “Bigfoot Organizations” choose to work together and not get caught up in the petty disputes that can be so common among them. I was able to document much of this expedition on film, using infra-red technology and I can let you see it now. Just click below to watch a seven minute film of this expedition: I hope you enjoyed this, and our thanks to Bill Brann and Steve Kulls for inviting us out to this amazing area. I am sure we will be back to investigate it along side of these dedicated men and their team. Until then, we will continue searching for Bigfoot! BACK TO TOP THE NOVEMBER 2006 MULTI STATE EXPEDITION
