Authorities now say that the foot found at a Spotsylvania County landfill is not human, but it's unclear exactly what species it is.
The Virginia medical examiner's office X-rayed the left foot found Saturday at the Livingston Landfill and determined that the 8-inch foot was that of an "apelike species," said Spotsylvania Sheriff Howard Smith. The medical examiner's office reported those findings early yesterday morning, ending search efforts at the Massey Road landfill.....

This story is very similar to the story of the "Hand of Unknown Origin". Don Monroe turned over the hand to Searching for Bigfoot Inc, in an attempt to get a more positive identification. The "foot" and the "hand" were both found at landfills, they were both evaluated by local Sheriff departments, they both showed to be human like but not human, they were similar even to the point that the ends of the didgits were removed!?!
