The Searching for Bigfoot Inc., team has seen many photos and videos of what is believed to be the creature known as "Bigfoot". However, this one is the most convincing I have ever seen to date!

What do you see here? ! ! ! ? ? ?

About a month ago, (early October 2009) Tom Biscardi and the Searching for Bigfoot team received a phone call from a man in Pennsylvania, named Ken. Ken was not a "Bigfoot follower" and had very little interest in the subject at all. However, one day while he and his wife were out hiking the nearby Appalachian Trail, he found some interesting rough looking shelters. While inspecting these shelters, he began hearing some very strange animal sounds. In an attempt to document what he was hearing and seeing, he began filming the area with his small hand held "flip camera". The following is the result of his efforts!

To begin with, the Appalachian Trail is a continuous marked footpath that goes from Katahdin in Maine to Springer Mountain in Georgia, a distance of about 2160 miles.

As you can see, the trail runs almost totally North to South. That would make it an ideal "hiway" for these animals as they migrate from their northern summering areas to their more southern wintering areas. A theory that has been put forth by Tom Biscardi for many years.

Ken took his video home and played it on his computer. His wife noticed something odd that seemed to be moving in the film. Ken took the video and replayed it on his Hi Def big screen TV. Now, he could clearly see that there was some kind of creature caught on film! This was something he never expected to see!

He knew he had something very unusual, but was not sure what it could be, so he began searching on the web for people who might be able to help him identify what he was seeing. He had never been a "believer in 'Bigfoot', but here it was.

Later, Ken told us that he had contacted the BFRO and others such as Jeff Meldrum and told them what he had found. Unfortunately for them, they were not only unwilling to come out and see what Ken had, but some were actually quite rude to him about it. Eventually, Ken contacted Tom Biscardi and the SFBI team. Tom asked Ken to send him a copy of his video so we could see it.

The team looked over the DVD that Ken had sent us, but couldn't see anything very specific on it. However, Tom was impressed with Ken's sincerity and decided that we needed to take the 2400 plus mile drive out to meet with him. After all, we can never tell what is happening by talking over the phone, reading it on the web, or viewing a poor quality DVD on a computer screen. The only way to know the truth is to meet face to face, then if it makes sense, go out into the field and investigate it fully.

Tom had the team prepare and we scheduled our trip. Tom scheduled several other stops for us along the way. After all going out on the road like this is a very expensive ordeal for us, but it is the only way to really find the truth.

Eventually, we met with Ken and his lovely wife. They are a handsome couple with a modest but warm and homey, beautifully decorated home. They invited us into their home and we began to discuss their experience. I, (JavaBob ), told Ken that I had seen the video but I wasn't sure I could see anything on it. I was eager to see it directly from the memory card on his camera, (a much larger and cleaner file than can be copied on a DVD), and showing on his Hi Def big screen.

Ken was happy to oblige me and hooked it all up. What I saw, totally blew my mind! There it was, clear as day! I was able to see this creature walking, turning, looking at the camera, raising its arms, turning and then moving out of view! I was totally shocked! I have seen many photos of this creature in the past... most of them very blurry or questionable at best... Usually, what we refer to as a "blob squatch"... but this time it was very clear and full of movement!

Of course, now comes the all the real work. We have to study the entire film, frame by frame for more clues. We have to study the area where the film was actually taken for clues about the subject's physical size. We need to look for any signs of physical evidence to support what we see in the film, and so on and so on....

It is going to take us quite a bit of time to gather and sort through all of the data before we can make this film and the full report available to the general public. The following clip demonstrates just a short bit of the work that still needs to be done, but we will try to share our results to all of you as we find them. Stay close to this website as we continue to uncover more about this amazing find... I will attempt to update this story often and keep everyone abreast of our findings....

WE FINALLY HAVE THE RESULTS BACK FROM OUR VIDEO ANALYSIS... THE RESULTS HAVE STARTLED ME AND I AM READY TO SHARE THEM NOW!

If you look closely at this section of film, you will see that Kenny pans past what appears to be a creature while he swings his camera around! When we first saw this video, we could not see anything in it that resembled a creature. However, once we met with Kenny, we could tell he was very serious and had seen something in this film. We ran the video on his hi-def, big screen TV and low and behold, we all could see what Kenny was so excited about! We went ahead and copied the digital recording directly to a 2 gig chip and sent it off for analysis. The following is an excerpt from the first in a series of communications from the expert who was doing our analysis work:
November 14/2009; ...the video is of good quality, enhancements aren't gaining a lot, here is a little brightness, contrast, & scale to the best picture..."

Still later that same day, we got more information:"...back through the tree line one clear look right before the tree, that is the still shot included figure clearly moving, camera stops & pans left, then THAT begins the standing sequence you can tell from the geometry of the trees that the moving figure ends up where the standing figure was photographed, in other words, it is the same figure..."

Can you see that the image appears to be moving on its own and that there is clear sky above it... This indicates to me that the image is free standing and not attached to anything else... Just keep this in mind as we progress farther through the analysis.
Later that same day, we got more input from the expert doing our analysis:"...back through the tree line one clear look right before the tree, that is the still shot included figure clearly moving, camera stops & pans left, then THAT begins the standing sequence you can tell from the geometry of the trees that the moving figure ends up where the standing figure was photographed, in other words, it is the same figure..."
And even more inputs from the 14th:"...clinging baby on right arm? can you see the knees & legs in motion? i think i can get an even better view with some advanced video processing FYI, I am having trouble coming up with a DVD that will be great, the web ready images (JPG and GIF) were easier in this case so i doubt i will be ready with a DVD on monday, and i am in LA the middle part of the week so sorry about that, the DVD may be a week away..."

The following week, we got some additional inputs. These inputs changed everything for us! This new information injected the first bit of doubt into the validity of this piece of film! For the first time since we saw the original film, we had a major question arise that we are hard pressed to answer! On Wednesday evening, just a little after the Bigfoot Live Radio show, I received the following information:"...My concern is that the observed figure may actually be a smallish clump of leaves in the foreground, not a large creature in the background.
The figure back at the treeline is probably this clump of leaves, that is the frame i sent you from 2:28 into the movie, close.bmp. It is hanging there and has the same shape as the profile1.jpg picture which was captured a second later.
Then the camera moves forward and turns back to the left, and is pointed right at this same leaf clump. The observed motion may be caused by the clump moving in the foreground relative to the background.
So the top down map displays the situation pretty well. I have played this clip with a slow motion video editor, and there is some skating motion of the creature relative to the background. The explanation might be that the figure is actually quite small and in the foreground.
So I am about 80% sure that the figure that appears to be back at the tree line is actually this leaf clump from the foreground. I am about 50 / 50 on whether the observed figure at 2:33 is also this leaf clump.
I share your confusion about this video. If that is a leaf clump then it is the most bigfoot looking leaf clump in recorded history. The blow up from 2:28 gives us a pretty good look at it from the side -- what the hell is that thing?
So feel free to use anything i have delivered for whatever purpose you like, and if you don't have the same doubt i do that is fine with me. i am attaching the latest DSP motion video stabilized version of the GIF animation as well. ..."

The following is the gif file that shows the stabilization of the clump of leaves... It does give me a reason to doubt the entire video, but it does not answer all my questions! I can no longer say that the video shows us the best video of a creature ever found, but I also cannot say with 100% confidence that it does not! It is more than clear that Kenny and his wife were honest about what they believed they saw in their video... Even one of the top video experts in the nation believed he saw the same thing!

The Searching for Bigfoot team can only share what we find... when we find it... and how we find it... Although we now have a strong doubt about what we have seen in this video, we will continue to follow up with more analysis on it. However, at this point in time, we must say that the analysis does not support our original take on the subject of this film. We salute Kenny for his honesty and the intestinal fortitude it required for him to come forward with this video. We all thought, and were very hopeful that we would be able to substantiate everything in it. Unfortunately, we were not able to do that this time... but we will continue to keep Searching for Bigfoot!

"On a personal note and to be honest... after seeing the head turn and look at the object behind it... I am hard pressed not to believe this is a picture of a creature! I also was able to hear, faintly, the sounds from this video and heard what sounded to me like the call of a monkey or ape...! I know what the finial evaluation results were, and I know that even the person who evaluated it was not totally sure of his own results... Personally, I am not yet convinced that this is not the real deal. I can only report our findings as we find them."

David has shared his analysiss of what he sees in this video with us. He has done many evaluations of photos, prints, and discoveries in the past and is highly rated in this field. Most of his work has been published and is shared internationally. The following is a letter and sketch that I recieved from out good friend and associate:
Hi Bob:

Attached is a drawing I made after repeatedly viewing and analyzing the film clip from Ken in Pennsylvania.

Watching the last, enlarged .gif sequence, I also saw what appeared to be a juvenile, toddler-sized, "Bigfoot" in the arms of it's mother.
There was the appearence of dangling, moving legs. At one part, the toddler's arm seems to swing down and back from it's lap. The mother seems to have her hand gently placed over the juvenile's mouth to "hush" it. I could see the motion of the mother's left leg as well and the head as it turned.

I also considered the critique of the film analyst. There is some merit in the speculation that it could be a cluster of hanging leaves in the foreground. The analyst mentions the figure "skating" across the background, which could be an indication of the visual parallas effect, whereby nearby objects will appear to be displaced farther from side to side than more distant objects, when viewed from different angles, which happens as Ken pans the video cam while walking forward.

However, there is an alterative, plausable explanation for the apparent parallax. The creature and Ken were bascally walking in the same direction, but at an angle to each other, where their paths would intersect. The creature sees Ken, hesitates and glances at a companion, than takes a few steps backward before truning and heading in the opposite direction

This hypthesis can be tested by analyzing the hi-res frame by frame images, but with the color saturation boosted to enhance the figure of the creature.

(One of the phenomenons of color images is that colors of different material composition that appear to be very similar to the unaided eye will actually have a very different spectral signature when the color saturation is adjusted.)

Often the color signature of an animal's fur or hair is markedly different to the color signature of vegetation, although they may appear to be nearly identical without color enhancement. By boosting the saturation at the same percentage for each frame, the position of the figure could be determined relative to its plaement, either in front of, or behind another object.

For example, if it is in the foreground suspended between two trees, it will pass over in front of the more distant of the two trees.

(An example from the .gif posted on the web: The dark tree branch in the foreground can be seen to parallectally shift past the head of the creature on both sides. There is a small stub of broken shoot from the main branch that plainly appears on either side of the head in the motion sequence. This parallax rules out the foreground branch as a support for the leaf cluster!)

I hope this will be of use. As in all things related to "Bigfoot", they are amazingly difficult to definitively document. In the mean time, we can garner whatever evidence is available to generate more interest in the cause.
